Malcolm’s entrepreneurial experience and insight is an essential asset to building our business.
Over twenty five years experience in banking and commerce he has held senior management positions with major institutions ANZ Banking Group and Suncorp Metway.
His focus on anti money laundering counter terrorism financing, credit policy, management consulting, corporate advisory work and consulting at all levels of State and Federal government is critical to our involvement with these bodies and the implementation for our Trade Finance business.
From 2001 to 2004 he formed the Capital First Group of companies, a “wholesale securitisation lender” of residential home loans which was underwritten by CIBC World Markets and having an approval by Ratings agency Moody’s. In addition, Malcolm was instrumental in obtaining accreditation with ING, Macquarie Bank (PUMA) AFIG Wholesale, and Firstmac.
In 2006, he sold the company to GMAC/RFC, the wholly owned subsidiary of ResCap, one of the world’s largest mortgage lenders and an indirect subsidiary of General Motors AC Financial Services, which had approximately $900million of loans under management.
Currently a director of the Finesse Finance Group providing strategic financial management advice on commercial and trade finance banking issues for the corporate and SME markets, with leading accreditations such as National Australia Bank, Westpac, ANZ, Bankwest, ING, Challenger, Resimac Commercial.
Malcolm’s considerable director level and corporate governance experience is a welcome and essential addition to our Advisory Board. |
